Mill Creek Eventers at a recent show.

LISA COHEN

Lisa Cohen, the Office Manager, has worked for Mill Creek since 1991. Lisa answers the phones and handles all aspects of lesson scheduling, making her the central communications point for the barn. Lisa has also been riding at Mill Creek since 1977 and therefore intimately understands the business from both perspectives. She is often the point of first contact for new and prospective clients and can provide information about all available services and their fees. Lisa also makes of point of getting to know all Mill Creek clients—and often their friends and family who come to visit—thus creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

CARLOS GOMEZ

Carlos Gomez has worked as Mill Creek’s Stable Manager since 1983. Carlos, who has overall responsibility for property maintenance, takes care of everything from ordering hay and shavings to building new jumps. He ensures that stalls are cleaned daily, all horses are fed appropriately and on schedule and that buildings and fences are promptly repaired. It is through Carlos’ great effort and his competence as a supervisor that our facility maintains its immaculate appearance. Perhaps Carlos’ most appreciated skill, however, is that of keeping our riding arenas so well-groomed. Thanks to his constant care and attention, the rings can often be used during even the rainiest of seasons.

MARIO TREJO

Mario Trejo has been the School Horse Manager at Mill Creek since 1985. In his many years with us, Mario has become a truly knowledgeable horseman. He has primary responsibility for the care and feeding of our 25 high-quality, fine-tempered school horses. Mario’s vigilance guarantees these horses are as healthy and well-mannered as possible. Mario is always available to teach and enforce safe handling procedures to students. He also explains proper grooming, bridling and saddling techniques as well as appropriate care for the horse after a lesson. Mario’s experience and efficiency keep our School Horse program running smoothly.
