SANDI SAMEL
Sandi Samel is a part-time instructor with a hunt seat equitation
background. Sandi received an M.A. in 1985 from California State
University at Chico and has over 20 years of teaching experience. She
has a lovely teaching style and a fantastic eye for equitation. She is
known not only for her sincerity and professionalism with students, but
also for her ability to emphasize the most fun and enjoyable aspects of
horsemanship. Her keen sense of humor certainly adds to the pleasure of
taking lessons from her. While Sandi can teach any level of hunt seat
riding, both jumping and flat work, she excels at instructing the very
beginning rider. She is patient and kind and has an enthusiasm for her
work that is contagious. Many new riders at Mill Creek begin their
riding experience with Sandi and continue with us for many years.
Sandi works for us part-time though we wish we could get more of her
time since she is such a popular instructor. Owner Cory Walkey states
that “over the many years, Sandi has been one of the nicest things that
ever happened to Mill Creek.”
